Spring Mattresses

• Spring mattresses tend to be lighter. This means it’s easier to change the sheets and to turn when necessary.
• There are two kinds of spring mattresses
  • Open Coil which have an interconnected spring system
  • Pocket Spring, where each spring is independent and is contained in it’s own little pocket
• Springs can be cheaper, especially if you go for open coil springs
• Coil springs can allow the feeling of rolling together, if you sleep with a partner. This can disrupt your sleep.
• Pocket springs give each part of you the support it needs as they act independently of each other. This can improve your comfort and therefore result in a more restful night.
• The more pocket springs the mattress has, the better this effect can be.
• All our spring mattresses come with a foam top. You can choose which foam, and what depth of foam. Click on the foam Mattress button for information about the benefits of the different foams available.
• Spring mattresses do not come with a removable cover. Because of the nature of their construction they all have taped seems.
